Definition of Alcoholics Anonymous

Alcoholics Anonymous is an association of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other so that maybe they can solve their common problem and help others in recovering from the disease of alcoholism.
The only requirement for membership is the desire to stop drinking alcohol.
There is no membership fee or payment in Alcoholics Anonymous, we are self-sufficient through our own voluntary contributions. Alcoholics Anonymous is not affiliated with any religious sect, politics, organization or institution and does not want to take a position in debates and arguments and does not reject or accept any issue. Our main goal is to get sober and help other alcoholics get sober.
